Sometimes parents just do not have the ability to buy these basic items. Bear Hugs For Babies helps the family’s of in-need infants in Lower Delaware acquire these necessities with our Bear Hugs Care Baskets.

Bear Hugs Care Baskets are large laundry baskets filled with essential baby items, infant-care literature for the parents or guardians and of course, a teddy bear. We also include a book in each basket as we feel that it is very important to read to a newborn.

Bear Hugs For Babies finds in-need newborns through a referral system. Our network of case mangers from hospitals, shelters, and other social services refer a newborn and verify the infant’s state of need. A Bear Hugs Care Basket is carefully put together for each baby and it is then delivered to the newborn’s family or guardian at the hospital or agency.
